The prohibitory orders, effective until June 29, aim to prevent the use of sky-pointing laser beams within the airport's free flight zone, as stated in the order issued by the commissioner of Bidhannagar Police.

The laser beams, reported from areas including Narayanpur, Baguihati, and Nicco Park, pose risks to aircraft safety and have prompted numerous complaints from pilots.
